We did a "football" theme for the party and served a chili dinner. The weather turned out really nice for an evening in February.
Happy when we sang Happy Birthday to him..
Not so happy that he was expected to eat this cake...(both of our kids didn't taste their birthday cakes!)
Happy again once he got some dinner to eat (rather than that huge cake!)
We got a photo of all our family that came to the party (minus my aunt and cousin who left a bit earlier).
Hudson got to open some presents with our family.
The next day Maddie and Hudson had a blast playing with all the new "boy" toys in our house. I was trying some new clothes on Hudson and Maddie also wanted to wear some... she would make a cute tom-boy! :) I love this picture of the two of them. They are playing so well with one another lately and a really special bond of friendship is already there.
oh and notice Maddie's new glasses... yay Costco! They will be nice back up pair when we need to send in the glasses to be re-made as her prescription changes.
Overall, we had such a nice time with our family and friends in celebration of our Hudson. It was really special to be able to do this at our new home this year and look forward to more celebrations here!

What a fantastic birthday party for Hudson!! I love the football theme, balloons, cake and decorations:) The chili looks sooooo good that I now am craving a bowl! The lawn looks beautiful. Great job Ben! Love the family picture. I didn't realize Jennie and Miguel were in the states. :). Loved Hudson's funny face with that big cake in front of him:). He is such a cutie!
Looks like a blast! Wish we could have been there to crash your party! JK. Hudson is adorable and such a big boy! It is so crazy how fast they grow up! Cake looked great and I would have eaten it all! UMMM!
Ah, so wish we could have been there! The cousins are super excited about your backyard and all that fun equipment! What a special gift and fun things to have. Glad everyone had a great time. You guys did a ton of work to pull that one off. We love you so very much and happy birthday once again to Hudson!
